Weekend Support – Café & Retail (Part-Time)
Join our weekend team at the heart of Juno and Acorn & Pip. You’ll support both the café and retail store, helping to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for every customer who walks through the door. -
Supervisor / Manager (Full-Time)
We’re looking for a natural leader with a hands-on approach to help guide our growing team and ensure smooth, joyful operations across the business. You’ll play a key role in shaping our next chapter as we expand and refine both brands. -
Head Chef (Full-Time)
A creative, quality-led chef who’s passionate about community, seasonality, and flavour. You’ll take ownership of our kitchen offering, bringing fresh ideas to the table and helping us deliver something truly special. -
Barista (Part-Time)
Great coffee and great conversation go hand in hand. We’re searching for someone who knows their way around an espresso machine and enjoys being part of a lively, people-first environment. -
Admin Support / Retail Assistant (Part-Time)
Organised, detail-oriented, and creative — you’ll help behind the scenes and on the shop floor, supporting our growing retail operation and ensuring our systems, stock, and service run smoothly.

Starting Salary: £33,000 + Performance Bonus

We’re Acorn & Pip, a much-loved family café - and we’re about to evolve.
This autumn, we’re opening a new kitchen concept with a distinct identity. A fully renovated, design-led space with its own entrance, full table service, and a vibrant, creative food offering that positions us as a destination for quality brunch, lunch, and fine–casual evening dining. Think produce-led, elevated, and honest menus, brought to life in a space that buzzes with energy, warmth, and purpose.
We’re now searching for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to help bring this next chapter to life with us.
The Role
You’ll be at the heart of shaping this new chapter – helping us design the menu, test the offer, source outstanding produce, and build the systems that drive service and profitability.
You’ll join us within the next few weeks, spending the first month working in our current café kitchen while we plan and build. From there, you’ll transition into leading the new space and launching the concept with confidence and clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on menu development, recipe testing, and accurate costings
- Source high-quality, seasonal ingredients and build trusted supplier relationships
- Manage ordering, GP%, stock control, and kitchen systems
- Take ownership of allergen processes, the SFBB file, and food safety compliance
- Recruit and train a small, robust, accountable & happy kitchen team
- Help shape a high-performance culture grounded in quality, communication, and care
- Monitor and control kitchen wage %, food wastage, and margins
- Collaborate closely with ownership to shape and refine the evolving concept
- Lead first class shifts and collaborate positively and effectively with the front of house team

What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous in a fresh, quality-led kitchen
- Proven skills in menu planning, costing, and commercial kitchen leadership
- A self-starter with an eye for detail and pride in high standards
- Passion for great produce, strong kitchen systems, and delivering brilliant guest experiences
- Calm, proactive, and collaborative – someone who brings solutions, not stress
The Package
- £33,000 per year
- Performance-based bonus tied to kitchen KPIs and business profitability, ensuring rewards are aligned with sustainable growth
- Full-time contract, approx. 45 hours per week
