Welcome to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Please read the relevant section below depending on whether you purchased online or in-store.

1. Online Returns & Refunds Policy

(For purchases made via www.acornandpip.com)

These terms comply with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Your Right to Cancel

Under UK distance selling rules, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason.

  • Notify us in writing at support@acornandpip.com within 14 days of receiving your order.

  • You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

  • We will refund the full amount paid, excluding the standard delivery chargee.

Condition of Returned Items

To qualify for a refund, items must be:

  • Unused and in original packaging

  • In the same condition as received

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

You may handle goods only as you would in a shop.

If handling goes beyond this, we may deduct a reasonable amount for diminished value.

Return Postage & Responsibility

  • For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for return postage.

  • Please use a tracked postal service and keep proof of posting.

  • If we confirm an item is faulty, we’ll cover reasonable return costs.

Refund Timing & Method

  • Refunds will be made within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or evidence of posting, at our discretion).

  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method.

  • For Klarna or other instalment payments, we’ll notify your provider to adjust your agreement.

Faulty or Not as Described

If your item arrives faulty or develops a fault within a reasonable time, email support@acornandpip.com with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the fault

Your rights include:

  • Short-term right to reject: within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

  • Repair or replacement: offered after 30 days where possible and within a reasonable time.

  • Final right to reject or price reduction: if repair/replacement isn’t possible or fails.

  • After six months, any refund may reflect a deduction for use.

Non-Returnable Items (Unless Faulty)

  • Personalised or made-to-order items

  • Perishable or consumable goods

  • Sealed items not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed (e.g. pierced jewellery)

Sale items: You have the same right to return sale or discounted goods purchased online within the 14-day cooling-off period as you do for full-price items.

How to Start a Return

  1. Email support@acornandpip.com with your order number, the item(s), and reason for return.

  2. We’ll provide the return address and any instructions.

  3. Send the item(s) back within 14 days of cancelling.

  4. We’ll process your refund or replacement once the item has been inspected.

Your Legal Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

2. In-Store Returns & Refunds Policy

(For purchases made in person at Acorn & Pip, 5–7 Carr Lane, Slaithwaite, HD7 5AN)

Change-of-Mind (Goodwill) Returns

We want you to love your purchase.

If you change your mind, we’re happy to offer an exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase, provided that:

  • The item is unused and in original packaging

  • You can provide proof of purchase

  • The item is in resaleable condition

Please note:

  • Refunds are not offered for in-store change-of-mind returns.

  • Exclusions: personalised or made-to-order items, perishable/consumable goods, unsealed hygiene items, pierced jewellery.

(This is a goodwill policy and does not affect your statutory rights.)

Faulty or Not as Described

If a product is faulty, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Bring the item and proof of purchase back to store as soon as possible.

  • Within 30 days of purchase, you may reject faulty goods for a full refund.

  • After 30 days, we will offer a repair or replacement within a reasonable time.

  • If repair or replacement is not possible, you may have a final right to reject for a refund or price reduction.

  • After six months, any refund may reflect a deduction for use.

What Isn’t a Manufacturing Fault

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Accidental damage

  • Misuse or failure to follow care instructions

Proof of Purchase

Please bring your receipt, order record, or bank statement so we can locate your transaction.

Footwear Returns

We recommend trying shoes on indoors and on clean floors until you’re confident in the fit.

Returns showing outdoor wear may be considered used and could be declined or subject to a deduction (faults excepted).

Your Legal Rights

2. Our Products

We aim for accurate descriptions, images and prices; slight variations may occur (e.g., natural materials). If a pricing or product error is discovered before dispatch, we’ll contact you. We may cancel an order prior to dispatch if the error cannot reasonably be corrected.

3. Orders and Payments

Orders placed online are offers to purchase and are subject to acceptance. A contract forms on dispatch confirmation.


We accept major cards, PayPal and instalment options (e.g., Klarna; subject to their terms). All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

4. Delivery

We dispatch promptly within stated timeframes; delivery times are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control. If a parcel is delayed, email support@acornandpip.com and we’ll help resolve it.

5. Ownership and Risk

Title passes on receipt of full payment. Risk passes on delivery (online) or handover (in-store).

6. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Purchases are covered by our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Online: 14-day cancellation right; refund of product price and standard delivery; conditions and timelines apply.

In-store: 14-day exchange or store credit as goodwill; no change-of-mind refunds.
Faulty goods (both): rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to repair/replacement/refund as applicable.

7. Faulty Goods

For faults or misdescription, contact support@acornandpip.com or visit us in-store promptly.

You may reject faulty goods within 30 days for a refund; after that we’ll repair/replace within a reasonable time; if that fails or isn’t possible, you may have a final right to reject or a price reduction. After six months, refunds may reflect deduction for use.

8. Liability

We’re responsible for foreseeable loss/damage caused by our breach or negligence. We’re not responsible for non-foreseeable loss, misuse, or events beyond our control. Our total liability shall not exceed the price paid for the goods.

9. Intellectual Property

All site content (images, text, design) is owned by Acorn & Pip or partners and may not be reproduced without permission.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
