At Acorn & Pip, we're dedicated to using locally and responsibly sourced, organic and palm-oil free produce wherever possible. We also offer an all day vegetarian café menu and kids menu that has been designed with the conscientious consumer in mind.

Monday - Saturday: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Sunday: 10.00am - 4.00pm

We don’t take table bookings, just swing on by!

Last orders in the cafe are 30 minutes before we close.

At Acorn & Pip, we want to make sure you can always find a meal that's right for you, whether you're looking for something quick and healthy or a sit-down experience with friends.

Our all day, vegetarian café menu is designed with the conscientious consumer in mind. We’re dedicated to using locally and responsibly sourced, organic and palm-oil free produce wherever possible.

We’re lucky to have a whole host of wonderful artisan producers and suppliers right on our doorstep. Over 80% of our food and drink producers and suppliers are located within an eight mile radius of the store, from our friends at nearby speciality coffee roasters Darkwoods, to our super local bakers and cake suppliers, dairy farmers, greengrocers, jam & pickle makers, ice cream suppliers and ethical wholefood pantry.

We know that it's important to support your local community as much as possible and that's why we're proud to be able to offer you so many great products from local producers on your doorstep.

When you get here

When you get here, you'll find a full children's menu, along with snacks and baby food available in store. We ask that you do not bring your own food or drink from outside.

Specials are also available—just ask!

Vegan, gluten-free and alternative options are available for guests with specific dietary requirements.

Meal Donations

As a food business it is so important to us that we never take for granted what we sell and how people access it. That’s why for every Children’s Meal purchased in our cafe we donate a meal to the food bank. Since we started this initiative in October 2020 we have donated over 2000 meals.

Visiting us by train

Slaithwaite train station is less than a 5 minute walk to our shop. We’re situated on the lines between Manchester, Huddersfield and Leeds.

Visiting us by car

We are ideally positioned off of the M62 motorway, meaning that you can leave the mayhem of traffic behind you and wind down the hills into our gorgeous village. There is plenty of parking around the shop. New Street Car park offers all day free parking and nearby Bridge Street (running adjacent to the canal) is unrestricted. Aldi car park allows 3 hours free parking. There is also free on-street parking available around the village for one hour. Our shop postcode is HD7 5AN.

Visiting us by bus

There are a few local buses that drop down into Slaithwaite and our shop is located by two main bus stops. Popular bus routes are: 394, 184. Other services include: 181, 183, 185, 395.
