At Juno, we champion thoughtful food.

Our kitchen is grounded in locally sourced, responsibly grown ingredients, with a focus on organic and palm-oil-free produce wherever possible. We serve an all-day vegetarian café menu alongside a considered kids’ menu, created with conscious families in mind, simple, nourishing dishes you can feel good about.

Monday - Thursday: 9.00am - 5.00pm

Friday - Saturday: 9.00am - 9.30pm

Sunday: 10.00am - 4.00pm

Welcome to Juno, the café inside Acorn & Pip, where thoughtful eating meets an easygoing atmosphere.

Our all-day vegetarian menu is designed for the conscientious consumer, with fresh, simple dishes made with care and centred around what is good for you and good for the planet. We prioritise locally and responsibly sourced ingredients, choosing organic and palm-oil-free produce wherever possible.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible community of makers. Over 80% of our food and drink suppliers are located within eight miles of our door, from our friends at Darkwoods Coffee to local bakers, dairies, greengrocers, jam and pickle makers, ice cream artisans and ethical whole-food producers.

Supporting our local community is at the heart of what we do, and we are proud to serve food that is rooted in the place we call home. Here, you can relax, refuel and enjoy the very best of what our valley creates.

When you get here

You’ll find a full children’s menu alongside easy snacks and baby food available in store. To keep everyone safe and ensure quality, we ask that you do not bring your own food or drink from outside.

We also offer a small but thoughtful drinks list, including wine and Northern Monk beer, perfect for a relaxed catch-up or weekend treat.

Daily specials are available, so feel free to ask the team what’s on. Vegan, gluten-free and alternative options are always available for guests with specific dietary requirements.

Settle in and enjoy our carefully curated drinks selection. At Juno, you’ll find Northern Monk beer on tap, beautiful brews from our neighbours at Darkwoods Coffee and a full wine list chosen for easy, everyday drinking. Whether you’re here for a quiet moment or a catch-up with friends, we’ve got something to suit every occasion.

Visiting us by train

Slaithwaite train station is less than a 5 minute walk to our shop. We’re situated on the lines between Manchester, Huddersfield and Leeds.

Visiting us by car

We are ideally positioned off of the M62 motorway, meaning that you can leave the mayhem of traffic behind you and wind down the hills into our gorgeous village. There is plenty of parking around the shop. New Street Car park offers all day free parking and nearby Bridge Street (running adjacent to the canal) is unrestricted. Aldi car park allows 3 hours free parking. There is also free on-street parking available around the village for one hour. Our shop postcode is HD7 5AN.

Visiting us by bus

There are a few local buses that drop down into Slaithwaite and our shop is located by two main bus stops. Popular bus routes are: 394, 184. Other services include: 181, 183, 185, 395.
