Nestled amidst the rolling hills and lush landscapes of West Yorkshire lies the charming village of Marsden. Known for its picturesque beauty and rich heritage, Marsden offers the perfect escape for families seeking tranquility and adventure. Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of embarking on a memorable vacation in this idyllic destination, staying in a cosy cabin at A Place In The Pennines. Here’s a glimpse into our gorgeous getaway!

Arrival at A Place In The Pennines

As we arrived at A Place In The Pennines, we were immediately captivated by the serene surroundings and rustic charm of our accommodation. The quaint cabin, nestled amidst towering trees and verdant meadows, offered a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its warm wooden interiors and inviting furnishings, it felt like a home away from home from the moment we stepped inside.

Exploring the Beauty of Marsden

Marsden greeted us with its breath taking beauty and friendly atmosphere, inviting us to explore its hidden gems at every turn. From scenic walks along the canal towpaths to leisurely strolls through the quaint village streets. There are some perfect spots to grab a coffee too like Peel Street Social and Sass Wellbeing Studio.

One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the great outdoors and unplug for the weekend! Our cabin at A Place In The Pennines, was perfect to unplug and unwind, we were mesmerised by the sounds of the birds and we popped the fire on too which added to the charm. We remembered to pack Uno and our evening was perfect! The kids loved not having a TV (obviously a rarity nowadays), it was a real treat to be all snuggled up together!
