Ok so who doesn’t like a JCB? I didn’t realise how unanimous it was that JCBs and all other kinds of diggers, bulldozers and dumper trucks were pretty cool. It does help when the kids are going absolutely bonkers at every turn, you can kind of get swept away with their enthusiasm.

We went to Diggerland in Yorkshire, for context this is not a paid or sponsored post, this is a review of our trip.

Who went:

4 adults, 3 kids aged 7, 5 and 3.

Cost:

I paid £105 for a ticket for 2 adults and 2 kids, our third child was free as it is based on height. Under 90cm is free. I benefited from a 15% discount when booking the day before (£2 admin fee issued on the site as well).

We arrived at 10.30am and went straight the cafeteria as it was raining and nope we did not take a brolly. The food was very average, lots of straight-up canteen food, chips, panini, crisps, cookies etc. Of course the kids loved it! In the spacious cafeteria there are 2 rally tracks for the kids to play on and they adored the go-carts. The only downside was that they had to be paid for which was a common theme around the park. This was the only thing that was slightly annoying, as the tickets were mid-priced and to have to pay for some rides was an extra expense that we noticed.

The park itself was clean, easy to navigate and it took roughly an hour and a half to go around everything. You could certainly take more time and there is a soft play at the end / start for the kids to have an extra run around. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

My kids really liked the park, it was ideally suited to my 5 year old and 7 year old who were both tall enough for all the rides and could handle the machinery. For anyone going with younger kids, they are definitely limited with what they can go on but there is still plenty for them to do!

All in all, a jolly good day out for all! I would definitely look out for a discount and try to go when they sun is shining.
